i heard they were really good…than i read on the internet they werent …..what do you all think>>??

I only own 1 of the DVDs, my son is 2 weeks old, and has loved it since the day we brought him home from the hospital.. so I give it a thumbs up!
By the way, you can buy all 26 Baby Einstein DVD’s from this web site for pretty cheap!

LOVE them, my kids loved them too.
I think they are a waste of money. If you want you child to talk and develop their verbal skills early than talk to them and interact with them. I think most parents ( and I said most NOT ALL) who use these videos are more or less using them as a baby sitter not for educational purposes.
I bought one when my daughter was like 2 months but she didn’t like it so i didn’t buy anymore she is 2 now and i am pregnant and wont plan to buy them for my son either.
My daughter LOVES them! She gets to watch one DVD a day (30 minutes). I don’t play them to “educate” her but rather to simply entertain her. She laughs out loud at the monkey puppets, it’s too cute.
I own several of them. I recieved them as hand me downs. I love the repeat play feature. My daughter loves the puppets. I think its very good for her she is only 10 months and already really smart. She watches the movies maybe 2 or 3 times a week. The music usually relaxes her and then its naptime. I think that they are great and educational

I’m not too impressed with watching video of toys and animation set to music, but I do like the video of babies and toddlers moving around, and so does my son. So we never watch the second two. I’d rather him actually play with the toys than watch TV and I don’t get what could be educational about watching toys on TV either. They come with great audio CDs though.
What I absolutely hate about the DVDs is you have to hit skip about 10 times before you get to the actual show. I do not like my son learning logos or watching commercials and those DVDs begin with 2 disney logos and 3 baby einstein logos as well as a commercial for the TV show Little Einsteins (a horrible program) and whatever else is on the disk plus the anti-piracy warnings, and that is after you select play from the main menu. Typical Disney BS.
i happened to watch one while waiting at the ob/gyn and it was pretty cute…the babies waiting with their moms seemed to enjoy..i think babies shouldn’t see TV for 2 long tho’
