Question by : Do you agree with these quotes by Albert Einstein and Thomas Jefferson?
“We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality.” – Einstein

“Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear.” – Thomas Jefferson

Do you find these quotes contradicting? If so, which do you agree with?

Answer by Old ‘n’ Slow
The proof is in the pudding. Einstein was a very successful and brilliant physicist. Jefferson was the goofball president who thought that the U.S. didn’t need a Navy, so he abolished. Later, when the north African muslim Barbary pirates started attacking U.S. merchant ships, we had to rebuild a Navy to fight the pirates, because Jefferson left us too weak to respond immediately.
